As a Principal, you are a senior leader within the organisation, responsible for shaping strategic direction, driving commercial success, and representing Acumetis at the highest levels. Principals act as trusted advisors to senior executives across pharmaceutical and biotech organisations, guiding decisions that influence global pricing, access, evidence generation, and commercialisation.
You will lead major accounts, support long-term client partnerships, and oversee complex programmes. Principals influence firm-wide capabilities, set quality and methodological standards, and contribute to organisational strategy, growth, and culture.
This role carries significant responsibility for commercial performance. You will shape business development strategy, secure high-value opportunities, and mentor leaders across the organisation to support long-term commercial sustainability.
Principals model the highest standards of leadership, integrity, collaborative behaviour, and strategic insight. You represent the organisation externally, contribute to thought leadership, and play a central role in internal governance, capability development, and strategic decision-making. This role represents a shift from leading portfolios to stewarding the organisation, preparing you for progression to Partner, where long-term strategy, governance, and external market influence are central.

Set firm-wide strategic direction across access, pricing, HEOR, and evidence strategy.
Establish and uphold methodological, analytical, and quality standards across all client work.
Act as the ultimate authority on complex or high-risk strategic questions.
Ensure the firm’s thinking remains innovative, credible, and market-leading.
How You Work
Strategic Thinking & Decision-Making
Shape long-term strategic priorities for the firm in response to market trends and opportunities.
Guide executive-level decision-making across clients and internal leadership forums.
Balance strategic ambition, commercial risk, and organisational sustainability.
Quality & Standards
Define and steward quality expectations across programmes, portfolios, and practices.
Serve as escalation point for the most complex or sensitive client and delivery challenges.
Ensure consistent excellence across evidence, pricing, access, and HEOR outputs globally.
Portfolio, Resource & Commercial Oversight
Oversee the firm’s highest-value accounts and programmes, ensuring sustainable delivery and profitability.
Shape revenue planning, forecasting, and long-term portfolio development.
Guide investment decisions related to capability building, tools, and service offerings.
Client Leadership & External Influence
Act as a senior trusted advisor to executive-level client stakeholders.
Lead the firm’s most high-stakes client engagements and negotiations.
Represent Acumetis externally through conferences, publications, partnerships, and industry forums.

Own and steward global or strategically critical client accounts.
Provide executive oversight across complex, multi-country or multi-stakeholder programmes.
Ensure client engagements deliver long-term strategic value and partnership growth.
Thought Leadership & Market Influence
Shape and lead firm-wide thought leadership, methodologies, and strategic frameworks.
Drive innovation in consulting approaches, tools, and offerings.
Influence industry dialogue through publications, speaking engagements, and partnerships.
Commercial Leadership
Lead business development strategy at firm or practice level.
Secure and expand high-value commercial opportunities.
Shape market positioning and long-term growth strategy.
Organisational Leadership & Governance
Lead or co-lead major internal initiatives (capability building, practice development, strategic planning).
Contribute to governance, investment decisions, and organisational change.
Support long-term workforce planning and leadership succession.
People Leadership & Culture
Provide strategic leadership for people development across the organisation.
Own succession planning and leadership pipeline development.
Coach and sponsor senior leaders (Directors, Associate Directors).
Champion psychological safety, DEI, wellbeing, and inclusive leadership.
Model the highest standards of leadership behaviour, integrity, and accountability
Career Development
At Principal level, development focuses on organisational stewardship and external influence, including:
Deepening executive-level advisory credibility and industry authority

Qualifications and Experience
Education
Degree-level qualification (2.1 or above preferred) in a health-related, analytical, or numerical scientific discipline, such as:
Health Economics, Public Health
Maths, Statistics, Econometrics
Biochemistry, Natural Sciences, Life Sciences
Engineering, Operational Research, MORSE
Advanced degree (MSc, MRes, MBA, PhD) strongly preferred in:
Health Economics
Biostatistics / Medical Statistics
Epidemiology
Mathematics / Econometrics
Other analytical, quantitative, or health-related disciplines
Skills & Capabilities
Extensive experience leading major consulting programmes globally.
Recognised expertise in Market Access, HEOR, pricing, or related disciplines.
Demonstrated success in senior commercial leadership and account growth.
Strong experience in senior-level coaching and organisational development.
Proven ability to shape thought leadership and influence industry discussions.
